User Data Deletion Instructions
1. Purpose of this page
This page explains how users can request deletion of personal data processed by avatawow when they interact with avatawow through Facebook, Meta Messenger, or a partner's avatawow-powered chat channel.
The public URL of this page may be used as the Data Deletion Instructions URL for Meta/Facebook app compliance.
Direct deletion request: send an email to hello@avatawow.com with the subject Facebook data deletion request.
2. How to request deletion
To request deletion of your data, please follow these steps:
- Email hello@avatawow.com from the email address you used with the relevant hotel, partner, or avatawow account, if available.
- Use the subject line: Facebook data deletion request.
- Include enough information for us to identify the data to be deleted, such as your name, email address, Facebook profile URL or Facebook user ID if known, the hotel or partner page you contacted, and the approximate date of the conversation.
- We may ask for additional information if needed to verify that the request relates to your own data.
3. Magyar nyelvű törlési útmutató
Ha szeretné kérni az avatawow által kezelt Facebook/Messenger eredetű személyes adatainak törlését, kérjük:
- Írjon e-mailt a hello@avatawow.com címre.
- Az e-mail tárgya legyen: Facebook adattörlési kérelem.
- Adja meg az azonosításhoz szükséges adatokat: név, e-mail cím, Facebook profil URL vagy Facebook felhasználói azonosító, ha ismert, az érintett hotel vagy partneroldal neve, valamint a beszélgetés hozzávetőleges időpontja.
- Szükség esetén további adatot kérhetünk annak ellenőrzésére, hogy a kérelem valóban az Ön saját adataira vonatkozik.
4. What data may be deleted
Depending on how you used the service, the deletion may cover:
- Messenger conversation records processed by avatawow on behalf of a partner organization;
- Facebook or Messenger channel identifiers connected to the conversation;
- contact details or booking-related information you voluntarily submitted in chat;
- support or administration records directly connected to your request;
- access tokens or integration records where they relate to your Facebook connection.
We do not ask for, store, or need your Facebook password. Please never send your Facebook password or any other account password by email.
5. Response time and completion
We respond to deletion requests within 30 days in accordance with GDPR requirements. If the request is complex or we need more information to identify the relevant data, this period may be extended where permitted by law, and we will inform you about the reason.
Once the relevant data has been deleted, we will confirm completion by email. Backup copies may remain for a limited period until routine backup rotation completes, but they will not be used for active processing unless restoration is required for security or technical reasons.
6. Partner-controlled data
avatawow is a SaaS platform used by hotels and other partner organizations. For guest conversations, the partner organization may be the data controller, while avatawow acts as a processor. If your request concerns a partner's guest relationship, we may forward or coordinate the request with the relevant partner so that it can be handled under GDPR.
